Women and girls make up 70% of those experiencing severe and simultaneous disadvantages, and are more likely to have mental health and wellbeing needs. Among young people facing economic or educational disadvantages, young women consistently show higher rates of mental health difficulties compared to young men. This results in exclusion from support, isolation and a decrease in work and educational outcomes.

Talitha Arts tackles these deep-seated crises directly through bespoke therapeutic arts workshops designed for survivors of trauma, abuse, exploitation, and structural neglect. Guided by professional artists and registered therapists, we use an integrative, trauma informed, person-centered expressive arts approach combining movement, music, theatre, and visual arts to break the cycles of severe disadvantage.
