Around 250,000 pregnancies end in miscarriage in the UK each year. However, miscarriage remains poorly understood, under-researched, and surrounded by stigma. Many vulnerable and disadvantaged women and girls report feeling isolated and unsupported. We are working hard to change that.

Miscarriage can have a significant impact on mental health, relationships and everyday life, yet many of the most marginalised people feel isolated, unsupported or unable to access help when they need it most. Pregnancy loss is often minimised or misunderstood, creating barriers to support, particularly for the most vulnerable. We are addressing this gap by ensuring people affected by miscarriage, ectopic or molar pregnancy can access trusted information and emotional support.
We want to bridge the gap between the emotional support we already offer and lack of access to affordable 121 specialist counselling by running free, online, specialist therapeutic counselling groups. This would involve small-group therapeutic sessions, facilitated by a qualified counsellor with experience in pregnancy loss and group work – so women can come together in a safe and supportive environment to receive therapeutic support, working through their experience with a community of peers.
