Help young women and girls affected by domestic abuse turn lived experience into lasting change. Through SafeLives' Safe Young Lives programme and Changemaker network, young people are transforming the response that young victims/survivors of domestic abuse receive, creating safer, brighter futures.

Children are now recognised in law as victims of domestic abuse, yet services, systems and policies still often fail to hear, support and protect them. Young women and girls experience abuse at home, in their own relationships and increasingly online, but their voices remain underrepresented in decisions that affect their lives. Too often, services are designed without their insight, resulting in support that fails to meet their needs and misses opportunities for lasting change.
Our Safe Young Lives programme places young people's voices at the centre of everything we do, ensuring solutions are informed by lived experience and grounded in what young people say they need. Safe Young Lives enables more young women and girls affected by domestic abuse to shape the services, systems and policies that affect them. With the right wrap-around, trauma-informed support, young women and girls influence decision-makers, share power and drive lasting change.
