TIN Arts is a Durham-based charity empowering people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities through dance. We’re within touching distance of opening The TIN Dance House, a fully accessible, inclusive training centre which will transform our capacity, and we need your help to make it a reality.

We are a community that welcomes everyone but we are unable to include everyone who needs us because we do not have enough space. Some of our dancers have taken part in our classes for many years but we struggle to adapt and develop new programmes to meet their changing needs. Why? Because of the lack of physical space. Some parts of our current base are accessible to all whilst other parts are not; we do not have an accessible meeting room with toilet facilities. This is deeply frustrating.
In mid-2024, after years of searching, we discovered a potential new home: a former Durham County Council building in Spennymoor. Fully accessible and full of possibility, it offers space to create three large dance studios, welcoming facilities and places to connect. With green outdoor areas, parking and strong transport links, TIN Dance House is a once-in-a-generation chance to build a vibrant cultural, health and wellbeing home for both our current community and those we're yet to meet. We need your support to make this happen. Every £1 you donate to our campaign will be doubled and will bring us closer to our new home.
