Imagine being told you have cancer while you’re pregnant, or just after giving birth. What a scary moment. Many mums feel isolated, frightened and overwhelmed, with few health professionals who understand both cancer and pregnancy. Families face emotional distress alongside practical pressures such as childcare, hospital appointments, loss of income and, in some sad cases, bereavement. Without specialist support, mums are left to cope alone at one of the most vulnerable times of their lives.

Mummy’s Star provides every mum with a dedicated Support Worker who understands cancer in pregnancy. Support Workers offer regular emotional check-ins, practical guidance and trusted information, connect mums to peer support, and signpost to other services. This consistent, specialist support reduces isolation, helps mums cope emotionally, and supports families to navigate diagnosis, treatment, birth and beyond.
