It only takes one decision for things to go wrong. Help DSM Foundation equip young people to make safer choices and stay protected from drug related harm through preventative education, reducing the thin margin between coming home safely and a family living with loss forever.

In the 12 years since Dan’s unintentional overdose, drugs have become more varied and potent, increasingly accessible and more acceptable. This has hugely increased the risk of damage to teens’ physical and mental health. Many young people report leaving school without adequate drug education, and with 44% of 15-year-olds having been offered drugs, teenagers remain highly vulnerable and exposed. Every young person deserves an education that will help them avoid tragedy and come home safely.
The DSM Foundation is recognised as the leading drug education charity in the UK. We offer an evidence-based, creative, multi-component programme that empowers not only young people but also the important adults in their lives – caregivers, teachers and other professionals. Our vision is to support young people to make safer choices and reduce harm, through increasing their understanding of the effects and risks of drugs, and improving their skills and resilience.
