1 in 4 children in Lambeth grow up in poverty unsuitable homes, food poverty and lack of opportunity leading to reduced life chances. Families on low incomes in Lambeth suffer from high housing costs coupled with rising living costs and low employment, many jobs that exist are low paid. As a result many live in overcrowded homes this little access to health good food and are unable to take part in positive and cultural activities that would support good mental health

We will provide a space for young people and children to meet after school and provide a safe space with safe adults to complete homework, take part in healthy activities like sport, drumming and games. Alongside thiw we will run cooking sessions and provide a health after school snack. In the holidays we will train parents to run a family centered programme to support embedding thiese activities into daily life and offering our venues as spaces to do this.
