We are solving the severe lack of information, advice and guidance on how to keep your independence, remain connected and reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness for people in West Sussex who are blind or partially sighted. There is an estimated 36,200 people in the county living with sight loss, which is expected to rise 23% by 2030, and there continues to be a problem with practical, tailored support for those who live with sight loss.
We will solve this problem by ensuring our services are accessible, sustainable and up to date. We use feedback from our clients, data and research provided by national organisations such as the NHS and the RNIB to ensure we are meeting the needs outlined by those who are living with sight loss and their families. Thanks to the lived experience in our team, we are able to truly understand what support is needed to ensure every person can keep their independence, and stay informed.
