Eyes in the Sky is an established and effective aerial surveillance and deterrent programme in the Eastern Cape, helping to keep rhino poaching low. However, poaching syndicates continually adapt, shifting tactics, technologies, and locations. Without the ability to act, deployment is delayed, technology stagnates and we miss vital windows of opportunity. The threats have evolved, and so must we.
The difference in survival and loss is measured in hours. We work with trusted field partners so that protection evolves beyond threats. Detect: Aerial tracking via plane and drone surveillance combines with partner intelligence to identify emerging risk patterns and priority hotspots. Act: Rapid veterinary intervention, emergency stabilisation, translocation, Stabilise: Rotating and adaptable technologies preventing surveillance and deterrence from becoming predictable over time.
