We are the only environmental charity dedicated to protecting and enhancing the River Tyne and its tributaries. Our work, alongside people and communities, is vital to tackle the effects of climate change and ensure the rivers are healthy, biodiverse and an asset for present and future generations.

Spanning 3,000 km², the Tyne catchment faces escalating pressure from climate change, pollution and historic river modification. More frequent flooding, drought and rising temperatures threaten homes, livelihoods and river-dependent species. Pollution, poor water quality and limited access to blue-green spaces harm biodiversity, increase water treatment costs, and reduce people’s health, wellbeing and connection to rivers.
Your donations are needed to continue our vital work across the Tyne catchment to restore our rivers. Resilient rivers, those that can recover quickly from floods, droughts, pollution and climate change, help to protect life and property, ensure reliable water supply, and support recreation and tourism. With our expertise, reach and local knowledge, we will continue to work with landowners, communities and businesses, bringing together the people, knowledge and data to help our rivers thrive.
