Mothers CAN trains and supports mums across the UK to take collective climate action in their communities. Our trainers and facilitators are volunteers and give their time for free. The organisation is supported by a part time Operations Manager which is a paid role and provides us invaluable support. The funds raised here will means we can keep our Ops Manager in post and potentially appoint a part time Community Organiser to further support our network.

The climate crisis is here. We are seeing the impacts not just across the globe but here in the UK on a daily basis. We know that mothers can be powerful if we work together but often without support we can feel overwhelmed by the crisis and unsure how to act effectively; isolated in our concern with no meaningful path to civic engagement; ignored or sidelined in decision-making. Yet mothers are the societal group most impacted by the crisis. We need a route to action.
Through training, shared skills development and peer support, Mothers CAN helps mums across the UK achieve long-lasting impact by organising locally on issues that most affect their communities, such as councils, schools, workplaces, pollution etc. We host a supportive network where mothers can connect, share ideas and build confidence so they feel equipped to really make a difference. We seek to engage with as many mums as possible at whatever stage of their journey to taking collective action
