Around the world we are witnessing rising temperatures, the highest species extinction rates ever and ecosystems being pushed closer to critical tipping points. Biodiversity reports show average wildlife population sizes have declined by 73% in 50 years. In a recent survey, half of young people expressed feelings like powerlessness around climate change. When so much is at stake, we need effective conservation, undergirded by great science and people inspired, trained and empowered to action.

For over 40 years, we have seen that conservation works. Our projects help steward, protect, manage and restore threatened ecosystems and species, like the endangered Sokoke Scops Owls, Africa's smallest owl, and heavily trafficked pangolins. Underpinning all our conservation is excellent science. By learning from past projects, sharing what we’ve learned, testing new approaches and empowering communities to get involved, we can grow and ensure the conservation we do works. That gives us hope!
