Working with passionate NGOs around the world, help protect Endangered pangolin species. Through habitat protection, restoration, and community engagement, we are working together to provide a safe place to live for some of the most threatened, and trafficked, creatures on Earth.

In the last decade, over a million pangolins have been stolen from the wild and illegally traded across the world. Alongside trafficking, habitat loss is central to the threat facing them, as forests are cleared and converted for agriculture. The Chinese Pangolin is now Critically Endangered, as is the Sunda Pangolin, which lives in the rainforests of south-eastern Asia. All four African species are also at risk, with some classed as Vulnerable and others Endangered.
World Land Trust is working with partner NGOs to fund land purchase, habitat restoration and community support in pangolin hotspots around the world. We are creating sanctuaries for the world's most trafficked mammals at Nyamukino Reserve in the Albertine Rift in Uganda, protecting all four of the African pangolin species, at Kinabatangan in Malaysian Borneo, protecting the Sunda Pangolin, and in Nepal to protect the Chinese Pangolin.
