From floods to droughts, to extreme and erratic weather events, the effects of climate breakdown are already being felt across the world. Meanwhile, fossil fuel and extractive industries continue to profit from the forced displacement of communities and the drilling and destruction of the earth, driving us faster towards climate crisis. These operations are incompatible with a just and sustainable world and urgent action is required to stop their continued harm to people and planet.

Students and young people have a vital role to play in the fight for climate justice. People & Planet therefore exists to build an empowered generation of campaigners who are equipped with life-long skills, motivation and networks to be a force for change while at university and beyond. Our current climate campaigns support students to demand their universities take bold climate action, including by cutting material and financial ties with the fossil fuel and mining industries.
