The state of nature in the UK is dire, and we need positive and tangible action to turn the tide. Restoring our native Eurasian lynx will restore key natural processes and offer a focal point for momentum for nature restoration. Help us to return this elusive and beautiful cat to its rightful place.

We are in a climate and ecological emergency and need to act. Research shows that nearly one in six (16%) species in Britain are at risk of extinction. We need to rebuild nature by bringing back our missing native species. As a predator of deer our native Lynx would play a key role in our ecosystems, bringing nature back into balance by reducing the overpopulation of deer and helping our forests recover. To bring these elusive and beautiful cats back we need your help.
Lynx have the potential to create huge momentum for nature restoration and provide wide ranging benefits to nature and people. We’ve shown that lynx reintroduction to northern England is practically and biologically possible. We’ve had over ten thousand conversations in the project region and found 72% support for the return of lynx. We’re working on feasible management plans with stakeholders and plan to seek permission from the government to bring lynx back once these plans are finalised.
