Many communities lack the tools, training and data to predict and respond to these threats. Data gives them the foresight to spot danger early, act fast and keep forests standing.

Cool Earth works with Indigenous communities in the Amazon to combine ancestral knowledge with modern technology. Satellite alerts, weather warnings, and the skills to use this vital data help people act early and fast when threats arise. Alongside this, local emergency brigades train in fire prevention and response, building resilience and ensuring communities have the foresight, skills and confidence to protect their homes and forests.
