Young people are restoring rivers, forests and wetlands, often on the frontlines of climate and nature breakdown, but they receive less than 1% of climate finance. Funding systems are slow, rigid and built for big NGOs, not 14–24-year-olds with early-stage, community-rooted projects. Most youth-led groups lack flexible backing, mentoring, safety support and visibility, so they burn out or stay small despite huge potential.

We fund and accompany youth-led climate and nature projects with early, flexible, multi-year support. Through The Iris Prize, young leaders receive catalytic grants, mentorship, risk and wellbeing support, and tailored capacity-building. We help them strengthen their projects, unlock new funding, and gain visibility. Our platform and resources also support thousands more young people to access funding and grow their impact, shifting the system to truly back youth-led solutions.
