At Intermission Youth, we believe representation matters. The young people we work with face economic discrimination, inequality, and reduced access to youth services following £1bn+ cuts. Working across low-income London boroughs, we bring young people together through creative programmes that break down barriers, build relationships, and open pathways to safer, brighter futures.
Intermission Youth delivers an intensive 10-month creative programme for 40-45 young people aged 16-25, combining weekly workshops, a summer school, mentoring, career support, and free counselling, culminating in a professional theatre production. Participants gain acting, writing, and backstage skills, with pathways into training and employment. We also train graduates as paid facilitators, expanding impact through lived-experience leadership while maintaining a high-quality, youth-led model.
