Many learning disabled children, young people and adults in Croydon face social isolation, limited access to creative opportunities, and few safe spaces to develop skills and confidence. Without ongoing support, these barriers prevent them from participating fully in the arts, building wellbeing, and growing as artists and leaders. Core funding is vital to address these challenges and sustain inclusive dance opportunities.

SLiDE provides inclusive dance sessions, performance projects and cabaret events that improve wellbeing, confidence and social connection for learning disabled people. Core funding ensures we can continue running weekly classes, mentoring, youth and adult companies, SLiDE Collective and SoDaDa, offering safe, high-quality, accessible opportunities for participants to develop skills, leadership, and creative careers.
