We believe ballet is for everyone and welcome dancers from all backgrounds, whatever their level of experience. Our boundary-pushing programme challenges how ballet is created, taught, and delivered, to create a more accessible art form. Support us to make ballet a truly equitable dance form for all

Ballet should reflect society. Currently only 7% of professional dancers in the UK identify as disabled and/or neurodivergent compared to 22% of the UK population. Fees, dancewear and travel costs can also turn access into a wealth test. These systemic barriers mean that disabled, neurodivergent, and low-income dancers are not fully represented within the mainstream ballet sector, and too often these exclusionary practices prevent talented young people from participating.

We pioneer inclusive teaching methods and develop diverse young leaders and choreographers to embed disabled and neurodivergent dancers authentically into our work. We also train UK ballet professionals to reform the mainstream sector. We provide subsidised, training, workshops, and residencies across the UK to reduce financial barriers for young dancers. Our aim is to create equitable pathways to professional dance careers and contribute towards a more inclusive mainstream ballet sector.
