Peak District Mosaic is a charity that creates and sustains engagement between the Peak District National Park and new audiences. As we celebrate our 10th year as a charity, we need your support to help new audiences explore and connect with our natural world.

Getting out in National Parks brings people joy, opportunities for recreation, improves health and wellbeing, and builds a sense of belonging and connection to the natural environment. However, significantly fewer people from ethnically and culturally diverse communities visit, live in, volunteer or work for a National Park than other groups. Barriers include the costs of transportation, activities and equipment, and experiences of feeling unwelcome.

We help people from diverse communities build a lifelong relationship with the National Park. We do this through fun activities that develop knowledge, skills and new friendships. This includes group walks, cycling and practical conservation tasks. We train diverse groups of Community Champions to run their own safe and enjoyable visits and our free events programme is run by our experienced volunteers and accessible by public transport, enabling people to engage with nature in an affordable way
