Bridport & West Dorset is rich in creativity, but the rural setting and small population mean that access to high-quality arts, performance and creative opportunities can be limited. Many people, especially young people or families, lack affordable or regular ways to engage with the arts, learn new skills or find a creative community. Local talent can go unsupported, cultural engagement can remain narrow, and community cohesion and wellbeing suffer from lack of inclusive, shared creative spaces.

BAC is a proven, accessible space in the heart of Bridport for all art forms and community projects to thrive.  We will expand our programme in 2026, offering more low-cost or free activities, from youth theatre (BACstage) to family-friendly visual-arts workshops and community events.  We will create inclusive, welcoming spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds to explore creativity, develop new skills, build confidence and forge community connections at the very heart of local life.
