We are working to tackle the impacts of climate change on the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, where extreme weather, habitat loss, and invasive species threaten wildlife, plant diversity, and safe public access. By restoring woodlands and grasslands, creating climate-resilient habitats, and improving access infrastructure, we can help the landscape adapt, support biodiversity, and ensure this historic living landscape can be enjoyed by future generations.

We will work to solve the problem by converting to continuous cover forestry, creating a diverse, multi- aged tree structure for resilience. Using Soay sheep to help manage meadows naturally, reducing the need for mechanical cutting. Monitoring sites for erosion and restoring vulnerable areas, replacing lost ash trees with a mix of natural regeneration and climate-resistant planting. Replacing rotten access infrastructure with durable recycled plastic, ensuring safe, year-round access.
