Dreaming Together is a participatory arts project exploring dreaming as a radical act of healing and imagination. Rooted in lived experience of mental ill-health and inequality, it empowers people to reclaim futures and share their visions with audiences to inspire social change.

In a time of growing tension, disconnection and discrimination, people affected by trauma and inequality often struggle to imagine new futures. Their capacity to dream becomes restricted. This project uses the arts to rebuild connection, confidence and imagination, helping people reclaim possibility and create change together.

We will work with artists, academics and activists skilled in collective dreaming to run workshops with isolated and marginalised communities across Bristol. Participants will then unite to co-create a public creative space, focused on decision makers, where the arts can shift perspectives and spark change. People with least agency will lead this work, reclaiming power and voice.
