Our justice system is failing rape survivors. Severe delays and last-minute postponements are forcing women to abandon cases to protect their mental health.. Our recent report 'Living in Limbo' revealed there are 13,238 sexual offence cases awaiting trial, up 66% since 2022. Survivors wait an average of 499 days, compared with 284 for other crimes, with many waiting far longer. Justice is being pushed out of reach, causing retraumatisation and severe emotional distress.

We will drive awareness and legal and systemic change by campaigning for justice system reform. We will amplify survivor voices, engage policymakers and persist in pressing for our recommended changes. We will execute a national campaign highlighting the findings of our Living in Limbo report and the urgent need for legal reform, sharing survivor testimonies, mobilising the public, and engaging the legal and feminist sectors to amplify reach.
