The Duncairn's Super Sunday Sessions are our most loved family-orientated event. Funds from the BigGive will allow us continue and increase programming of these free events, to support local and visiting artists, and to remove barriers and deepen its reach into the local and wider Belfast community.

Due to funding constraints, we have had to significantly limit our Super Sunday programming. This support will guarantee bi-monthly Super Sundays for the local North Belfast and wider Belfast community. The Duncairn is located in an area ranked in the top 10 on the Noble scale for social deprivation. The local community suffers from a chronic lack of support, especially with regards to access to the arts. Super Sundays offer the opportunity to engage with music and arts for free for all ages.
Super Sunday Session was borne out of the desire to open The Duncairn to the local community – to give space for people to come together, enjoy music and arts in a relaxed and non-intimidating atmosphere, and spend quality time with friends and family. The event is completely free to guarantee access and inclusion to everyone who wishes to join. This funding will help us spread the word even further in our communities, to increase and enrich attendance.
