Beneficiaries
Despite Oxford’s reputation as a city of wealth and privilege, our local communities are experiencing complex, multiple disadvantages including food and fuel poverty, lack of robust support systems and social isolation. In our surrounding area, four neighbourhoods are in the 20% most deprived in England and one is in the 10% most deprived. The proportion of children living in income-deprived families is as high as 78.9% (Indices of Deprivation 2025).
We remove barriers to arts and creativity by providing free creative programmes and safe, warm spaces where everyone is welcomed equally. Our programmes foster community, amplify diverse voices, and help young people build skills, confidence, and resilience. Visitors of all ages can enjoy free creative activities and wellbeing support at our drop-in Welcome Space. Our multigenerational lunches and events include arts-based activities, bringing communities together to combat social isolation.
