Working with local public health initiatives & West Berkshire’s JSNA priorities, we want to support those in our community affected by dementia with creative interventions and all the proven wellbeing benefits engagement with the arts confers. West Berkshire Health & Wellbeing Board reported in 2025 dementia prevalence increased by ‘53% in West Berks since 2012/13’. We know it is families who are hit hardest covering care & cost burdens, and pushed to emotional, physical & financial limits.
Our monthly Memory Cafés provide friendly and relaxed sessions led by professional artists and musicians for cognitive stimulation, emotional well-being and meaningful social connection. The activities are designed to encourage conversation, help stimulate the brain and enrich the lives of people living with dementia. The space is safe and engaging where individuals with cognitive changes can enjoy meaningful activities, companionship, and fun without pressure or stigma.
