Access to live music is proven to benefit health and wellbeing - improving mood, confidence and resilience and can reduce reliance on pain and anxiety medication. Yet many people face significant barriers to these benefits due to disability, social isolation or ill-health. Alongside rural isolation, socio-economic disadvantage and overstretched health and education systems, Wales has the highest child poverty levels in the UK, further compounding these barriers.

We will reach people across Wales through our established live music programmes, inc. Lullaby (collaborative songwriting to support maternal mental health) and Count Me In! (group music-making for children with profound & multiple learning difficulties). Our trained musicians will bring live music directly into education, health and community settings in Wales to boost wellbeing. This will help people feel healthier and more confident in expressing their preferences and making their own choices.
