For young audiences there is a clear lack of dynamic and original new theatre reaching classrooms today and lack of resources mean trips to experience live theatre are increasing rare. The MIB260 schools tour is designed to remove barriers that prevent young people from accessing the arts, specifically focusing on underserved areas of Bristol, whilst also addressing the lack of Theatre in Education programmes in Bristol.

MIB260 enables us to bring two high-quality plays that are engaging, entertaining and relevant to secondary school students directly into schools, performed by an ensemble who have taken up residence at BOV for a year to train in performance, and technical theatre skills. The tour will show professional-level theatre to secondary school students who otherwise haven’t experienced live theatre, expanding their cultural horizons and introducing new ideas.
