SEND Arts Learning in West London is a simple concept which will have a far-reaching impact on the lives of a generation of children in our local West London communities. The idea is simple: bring as many SEND pupils as possible to Pitzhanger to access and enjoy high-quality arts experiences.

We are facing a moment of extreme pressure on all SEND structures in the UK. At Pitzhanger, we believe that everyone should be able to access and enjoy high-quality arts experiences. However, with SEND provisions in schools threatened, there is less and less opportunity for children to meaningfully engage with the arts, and enjoy the life-long benefits of creative experiences.

Pitzhanger will expand the our successful schools engagement programme by focusing on a crucial audience: SEND pupils. Working in partnership with SEND teachers and pupils we will: - Create new SEND discovery packs - Introduce tactile sculptures and outdoor learning materials - Design visual stories to help alleviate anxiety for new SEND visitors - Offer more workshops and visits dedicated for SEND groups
