Disabled people in our community face high levels of loneliness because inclusive creative third spaces (not school, home or work) are rare. In one survey, 61% of disabled people said they were chronically lonely, rising to 70% of young disabled people. Many tell us they cannot find places where they feel safe, welcome and able to express themselves through art. With loneliness so high, the need for sustained creative connection has never been greater.
We create inclusive, accessible creative spaces where disabled and neurodivergent people can connect, grow and belong. Our long-term model supports people from age 10 into late adulthood. We run year-round art classes, school partnerships, Short Breaks for teens, Skills Club for NEET young adults, and produce our own participant-led podcast. Everything is co-designed and grounded in removing barriers so people can express themselves and build lasting relationships.
