Young people will face the greatest impacts of climate change, yet many lack access to clear, practical climate education. This gap is widest for marginalised groups, who are often excluded from training, green careers and decision-making. Without Carbon Literacy, young people are less able to understand the causes of climate change or take effective action in their lives, communities and workplaces. This limits their ability to influence peers, employers and local decisions at a critical time.
We will equip 18–29 year olds with the skills & agency to take meaningful climate action through inclusive, accredited Carbon Literacy training delivered by experienced facilitators. Co-designed to be accessible & relevant, the programme builds covers climate science and carbon impacts, and participants create realistic personal, community & workplace action plans. Financial, cultural and accessibility barriers are removed to engage marginalised young people and support action beyond the course.
