There are significantly less opportunities for young people, especially those from disadvantage socio-economic backgrounds, to experience the joy of music making. The cost of instruments and instrumental lessons is prohibitive for many, and access to culturally relevant group music making opportunities are very limited both in or outside of schools. Those young people who have had access to music opportunities need help and support finding routes into the music industry.

We have identified areas of lambeth where socio economic disadvantage and lack of support for arts in schools means that young people are not getting access to music. We have partnered with organisations that will help us to provide music making opportunities in some of these areas. We will expand to provide access for more young people to experience our music workshops as well as starting an bursary scheme to provide instrumental tuition and instruments.
