Dance for everyone. We all have the right to experience joy, expression & connection through movement. Dancefest makes dance accessible but specialist work requires specialist resources. 1:1 support, BSL interpreters, travel assistance, advocacy; we strive to do more & better so no body is left out.

Everyone should be able to take part in & experience dance & movement, to enhance creativity, mobility & wellbeing. We are known for our inclusive work; workshops, performances, films & outdoor events. For us, inclusivity means anyone being able to take part in everything, People with Learning Disabilities, who are D/deaf, blind or visually impaired shouldn’t be limited to activities tailored to their needs. We want our full offer to be open to everyone, the only barrier to this is financial.

We’ll establish an access budget, available to anyone with access needs who would like to take part in any of our activities. For our projects we write access support into budgets but in our regular programme this is a challenge. This access budget could be used to pay for additional dance leaders to support adults with learning disabilities to take part in our masterclasses or a BSL interpreter to enable a D/deaf Artist to lead regular sessions. This will allow us to prevent opportunity silos.
