Wild Days Out opens the door to nature for children growing up in deprived urban areas – many of whom have never previously explored in woodlands. Through hands-on activities we spark curiosity and inspire a new generation of environmental custodians, while tackling inequality in access to nature.

Children in deprived urban areas often lack safe access to green spaces, limiting their chances to connect with nature. While 80% of young people care about the environment, only 52% feel strongly connected to it – threatening its stewardship in future years. Wild Days Out gives a unique opportunity for over 900 children to connect with nature, offering immersive experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire lifelong custodianship of our natural world.

Wild Days Out offers tailored outdoor experiences that make nature exciting and accessible. Activities include identifying insects and learning about their habitats, how to handle wildlife, and planting seeds to take home and grow. Our experienced staff engage children of all interests and abilities, including those this with additional needs, ensuring everyone feels included. These hands-on experiences, ignite curiosity and create lasting connections with nature that extend beyond the day out.
