Nature is in crisis. Extreme weather, urban growth and biodiversity loss are putting immense pressure on our natural systems, threatening wildlife, habitats, and community wellbeing. The current political climate has made these challenges even harder to tackle, putting vital protections for wildlife and wild places at risk. Urgent action is needed to safeguard habitats, restore degraded areas, and help precious species, like the dormouse, water vole and Atlantic salmon recover.

Using our extensive expertise, built over more than 60 years, we will protect and maintain our nature reserves to ensure they act as a frontline defence to mounting pressures. Guided by our Wilder 2030 Strategy, we will carry out year-round habitat management and restore degraded areas to help wildlife thrive. Ongoing monitoring and the reintroduction of keystone species will strengthen ecosystem health and ensure our reserves provide a much-needed safe haven for the future.
