Arts participation is key to unlocking better mental health and wellbeing. With the power of community, we create shared cultural experiences for vulnerable people to overcome isolation, loneliness, and low self-esteem. Our work uplifts individuals to feel safe, confident, and empowered every day.

Beneficiaries
Social isolation and poor mental wellbeing are increasing, particularly among those facing disadvantage. An increased strain on services means many lack access to the support they need to improve. In our community, there are limited free and inclusive cultural activities to support vital connection and self-expression. Without creative social outlets, loneliness, anxiety, and low confidence persist. There is a clear need for arts-led interventions that uplift identity, belonging, and wellbeing.
We deliver free and inclusive work that centres creativity and community to support wellbeing. Our Itch spoken word and youth groups empower future artists and activists through self-expression. Chatty Café and Shared Reading reduce loneliness through regular, meaningful engagement. Our volunteers improve confidence, gain friendships, and discover pathways to employment. Across our programme, we enable growth, identity, and belonging through the arts to create a happier healthier Knowsley.
