Our artist-led projects create a vital lifeline of connection, creativity, and joy for isolated young and adult carers. Co-designed with carers, projects offer a rare space for self-expression, to be heard, and to feel part of a supportive community: nurturing confidence, skills, and mental wellbeing.

Caring for loved ones can be isolating, time-consuming and emotionally draining. Young and adult carers face stress, loneliness, and low confidence, with little time for self-care, connection or respite. According to Carers Trust, 56% of unpaid carers report feeling anxious or depressed; over 80% have felt lonely. Without support, their mental health and sense of identity can decline, leaving them feeling unseen and undervalued, despite the immeasurable contribution they make to society.

“The project made me feel like I had a superpower. It was great for my mental health." (Carer) inspired:carers delivers creative workshops that bring isolated carers together, providing a rare opportunity to relax, have fun, and connect. Through shared activities, carers reduce stress, build skills and confidence, and feel part of a supportive community. They discover creativity, joy, and a sense of self beyond their caring responsibilities, helping them feel valued/enhancing their wellbeing.
