Children across Warwickshire and the Midlands are losing access to creative learning and green space. Your donation will fund free and subsidised art and nature workshops for schools, inspiring confidence, wellbeing and imagination in 6,500 children who might never otherwise visit a gallery.

Today, 1 in 5 children experience mental health difficulties, and schools report rising anxiety and communication challenges, worsened by screen use. Creative and nature-based learning is proven to boost happiness, resilience and connection, but access is declining. GCSE entries in creative subjects fell up to 70% in 10 years, Midlands pupils are 20% less likely than those in London to visit galleries, and access to green space in the West Midlands is set to fall below minimum standards by 2040.
Compton Verney gives 6,500 children a year the chance to unlock their creative potential and explore nature in hands-on workshops. Artist-led activities and Forest School sessions provide time in nature and opportunities to grow creatively, building resilience, confidence, and imagination, and improving mental wellbeing. Recent evaluation shows that 93% of children feel more included and 79% feel happier after taking part in our workshops.
