Young people with disabilities face many barriers to participation: inaccessible venues, lack of affordability, lack of inclusivity, lack of specialist support. People with mental health issues are struggling to access services, with long waiting lists for referrals through GPs. And our local young people (one in three of whom lives in poverty, with 41% eligible for free school meals) have limited access to opportunities due to financial challenges - especially sports programmes.

Our horse programme is accredited by the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). RDA programmes are oversubscribed in London, so we will provide access to support for disabled people by delivering sessions in our fully accessible horse arena. We will also offer equine wellbeing sessions, providing early support for those with mental health challenges. Our afterschool Pony Club will provide educational and recreational opportunities for local young people at an affordable price.
