We address the rising child poverty crisis in Newham, worsened over the past few years as a result of sustained of cost of living increases for families. Vulnerable children endure daily hardship, missing out on the experiences, joy, and opportunities their peers take for granted. This fuels emotional, social, and developmental struggles, damaging wellbeing, confidence, and future prospects, and trapping families in cycles of disadvantage.

We will tackle these inequalities by delivering meaningful activities, experiences, and support that offer respite and joy to disadvantaged children and families. The funding raised will enable seasonal parties, events, and trips for hundreds of vulnerable Newham children in the two weeks before Christmas, alongside providing vital support for our toy appeal, which will deliver personalised stockings of new toys and gifts to at least 2,500 children in time for Christmas Day.
