Winter is the most challenging time for a Riding for the Disabled Charity. Fewer daylight hours mean fewer sessions which reduces our income, but our costs remain the same, with food costs actually going up as we need to feed our horses hay and not grass. You can help us maintain our vital services.

Beneficiaries
We provide access to horses for people with disabilities or those who have an emotional, physical or other need. We help our participants with problems they face such as: - Physical limitations and health issues - Lack of exercise and fitness - Social isolation and communication difficulties - Low confidence and self-esteem - Limited opportunities for achievement and personal development. - Mental well-being and stress reduction - Lack of independence.
Our activities at PLS offer diverse benefits: Equine therapy improves physical, emotional, and occupational health. Carriage driving provides outdoor access for wheelchair users. Horse riding enhances posture, balance, coordination, and boosts mental well-being. Horse care and walking reduces stress, improve mood, and build self-esteem. Social groups combat isolation for adults with complex needs, while home and school visits lift spirits, evoke memories, and provide vital sensory experiences.
