We have been restoring and protecting the Westcountry's rivers for 30 years, helping people to reconnect with them and supporting wildlife to thrive. Through practical interventions and education, we aim to bring rivers to life for the benefit of everyone.

The health of our wildlife and people is intimately connected to the health of our rivers. Yet our rivers are struggling, often suffering from pollution and habitat damage. Reversing this decline and creating lasting, sustainable change requires involvement from local communities. Our aim is to deepen public understanding of the vital role freshwater habitats play in our lives and equip individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills to lead community-driven river conservation.

We will partner with local communities to build a lasting connection to rivers through a programme of practical volunteering tasks including conservation techniques (e.g. leaky dams and tree planting), alongside biodiversity protection efforts such as removing invasive species including Himalayan balsam. To encourage inclusivity and access, we will provide the tools and PPE so that people can actively work to restore their rivers and develop a sense of ownership for their ongoing care.
