Families supported by Parenting Special Children face complex challenges linked to their children’s SEND or trauma backgrounds, including those adopted or in care. Our families often experience poor mental health, high anxiety, financial deprivation, domestic violence, isolation, self-harm, and child-to-parent violence, factors that put them at high risk of crisis without timely specialist support. PSC’s expert team intervenes early to build resilience, empower families and prevent crisis.
Our vital, holistic support begins with our Helpline, providing immediate trauma informed specialist guidance during crises. Our workshops offer practical strategies for managing SEND, sleep, neurodiversity, and trauma. Through trauma-informed children’s groups and support circles for parents/carers, including for minority families, we build confidence, resilience, and strong connections that empower children and their families to overcome challenges and prevent crises.
