The number of children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) has increased by 140% since 2015, signalling an urgent rise in the number of children needing specialist support. Yet London saw a £26 million drop in funding for children’s services, including a 74% cut to early intervention support. As a result, schools, local authorities and charities face intense pressure, with limited capacity and long delays. Many children risk falling through the cracks—leaving school without the tools.
Every week in term time we run 6 KEEN Club sessions across London. We provide a place where children with additional needs & disabilities are supported 1:1 to access a variety of sports and group games. A place where activities are continually adapted to suit each child’s needs and development goals, giving them choice and control over how they participate whilst providing the opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills, learn to regulate, feel in control but most importantly have fun
