Stage for Change empowers people with experience of mental illness to create and perform bold, contemporary work. Through workshops and performances, we amplify unheard voices, challenge stigma, and use the power of art to inspire empathy, understanding, and lasting social change.

People with experience of mental illness often face stigma, isolation, and barriers to creative expression. Their voices are underrepresented in the arts and in society. This fuels misunderstanding and marginalisation. By supporting creative work and public performance, we build confidence, connection, and understanding — promoting inclusion, shifting attitudes, and contributing to long-term social change.
Many Minds runs inclusive workshops where people with experience of mental illness create high-quality performance. We offer a safe space for creativity, connection and skill-building. Our work develops confidence and leadership, enabling participants to take up creative and community roles. Public sharing challenges stigma and inspires lasting social change.
