Essential water infrastructure for Nayamba School & Trade Centre. Our School provides free education for 360 children in rural Zambia, where other schooling options are either too far away or too expensive. We also have a trade centre for vulnerable young women - all need accessible clean water.

After serious droughts in the region and increasing demands on our limited water supply keeps running dry. Nayamba school provides free education to 360 children, 12 female apprentices in our trade centre learning textiles and weaving and supports 14 staff members and their families. We desperately need a new borehole and solar pump to ensure all our young female apprentices and school students have accessible, clean water.
We already have geological surveys to guide us to a new water table and so we will drill and new borehole with a solar pump and back up batteries to ensure water can be supplied to the school whatever the weather.
