Too many women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer too late for effective treatment. Natalie’s sister Leanne died just eight days after diagnosis, following 20 months of missed chances. “All we could do was hold her hand as she talked about the future we knew would never come.” Our mission is to drive awareness and improve access to diagnostic tests , so more women are diagnosed earlier and treated faster, key steps toward our goal of doubling survival rates by 2050. Early diagnosis saves lives.
Target Ovarian Cancer tackles barriers to early diagnosis on all fronts. We train GPs to better recognise symptoms, reaching 51% across the UK so far. We work with the NHS to shorten diagnostic delays. And we raise public awareness while urging the UK government to fund national symptom campaigns. Together, these efforts drive earlier diagnosis and save lives.
