The windows in Westminster Cathedral Hall, a grade 1 listed building, are 125 years old and require urgent renovation for the first time. We plan to remove each window fully restore it offsite and reinstall the window as it was 125 years ago. This is to cover the remaining unrenovated windows.

Westminster Cathedral Hall a listed building almost 125 years old with leaded windows. These windows leak water into the Hall and into the walls of the hall causing damage and let in cold air and drafts. The hall is a community building in fairly constant use. It is a parish hall, it is used by other local groups such as choirs, individuals, the blood transfusion service, and, as a school hall. It needs to be warm, dry and comfortable, which the deteriorated windows are preventing.
The Friends of Westminster Cathedral will arrange to have each window removed, fully renovated and put back in place restoring the windows to the state they were in when first installed. This will eliminate the water leaks, and cold drafts whilst keeping the Hall exactly to its original design as is necessary for a listed building.
